Third time purchasing from HT Markets. We love our South Hampton recliners. Have installed them in two motorhomes and now have them in our house. Quality is great and so comfortable. The only issue is the 24 hour ship actually takes about two weeks and the customer service communication lacks to keep you informed of any delays. We had to call to find out what the delay was. However, once they shipped we got a notice from the shipping company with the tracking. We really do love our recliners.

I needed to replace an aging double loveseat in my home theater and wanted home theater seating. Unfortunately, there no offerings to “test sit” near me, so I went to the AVS forum. Found 2 threads; one was general and it referred to two other vendor specific threads. I chose HT Market. Several weeks of getting past the main issue – lots on money for furniture I can’t return and can’t test for comfort and size. I finally worked past that and narrowed my choices down to 3 potential models. Then I made my smartest decision and called Tom. In the HT Market thread, Tom had done a “size test” for a customer and posted some pictures. Aside for the consistently good comments about how helpful Tom has been with everyone, it turns out that he & I are about the same size, so after seeing his size test, I called him. Tom spent a long time on the phone with me and patiently working through the requirements and questions I had about the models. Tom then told me he owned the Southamptons for several years and thought it would be the perfect choice for me. I ordered a 4 piece sofa configuration and have had it for a week or so. Great choice for size & comfort. Very simple to unbox and set up. Seating is firm, but comfortable and I don’t need to fight to get out of the seat (one of the reasons the older stuff was replaced). Two things need mentioning. The quality of the furniture is top notch. Leather grade, build quality, electronic movement mechanism (smooth, pretty much silent). Not inexpensive stuff, but a good value. Second thing to mention is Tom. What a great experience he gave me. Patient, knowledgeable, led me to the correct solution (not the most expensive), answered ALL of my questions and provided input for things I didn’t think to ask about. There were 3-4 follow-up emails I sent to ask a couple of additional questions and order two of the pillows and a portable arm. He answered those from home well past business hours. Tom was the excellent part of the experience, impressively going well above and beyond normal throughout. I hope Alan appreciates what a treasure Tom is. It was just an outstanding experience with HT Market; Tom in particular and the furniture is terrific.

The Southampton is a great chair. It's firm but comfortable and has a high quality build. I'd recommend.

Bought and received our loveseat configured Southampton's 3 months ago. Still happy as could be with them. The recline function is smooth and quiet. The support is very even. No matter how I twist, turn, slouch, or sit straight the padding is there and comfortable. Only complaint is they feel so good my wife can fall asleep on these in seconds.

I picked these sets up at the end of November/Early December. I wanted to break them in a bit before I left a review. I have not regretted it at all. Tom was awesome to deal with, and went out of his way to help me on this. They set time aside for me to come up to the warehouse and check out the seats. They have "broken in" very nicely. Very comfortable. I was going to go with the manual recline, but now I am glad I didn't. The only beef I have (which isn't a bad thing) is those LED lights are bright! I covered mine up...and then uncover when not watching. They light up the room pretty well. The seats are roomy, but they don't take up a ton of space. I may end up purchasing a few more!

These were delivered quickly, came in perfect condition and they are very comfortable.

We ordered a four-seater Southampton on Black Friday 2019 and received the shipment seven business days later. The chairs were easy to set up and are quite comfortable. The power recline motor is extremely quiet and the leather smells fantastic. I ordered through Karen in customer service and she was great before and after the sale. My only minor gripe is that the LED lighting is quite bright (suggest the switch be changed to a three-way setting of Off-Dim-Bright if possible) and shines onto my projector screen when the chairs are in the reclined position. I highly recommend these chairs.

We are very happy with the Southampton seating and have nothing negative to say about them. We purchased the three and two seat configurations with the curved design. The most positive things that come to mind are the comfort of the seats, the softness of the leather, the LED lighting and the quiet reclining power.

Purchased these chairs for family room and gave existing leather couch to daughter. These chairs feel very sturdy and quality is evident. The chairs now plug into wall outlet without the converter box shown in the installation videos. I ordered the loveseat configuration and one seat comes with no arms: therefore the controls had to be placed on side of chair. I might have decided to go without loveseat configuration if I would have known. Love these chairs. Very very comfortable well made. Quality leather soft. Multi position recliner is the best so order upgrade and don't buy mechanical recline unless there is no other option in your budget. The chairs do not attach together and I have hard wood floors and move around, so I purchased 24" wide rubber matt to keep in place. Great purchase and do not miss the couch and loveseat. We picked up a straight row of 4 of these seats. They're really comfortable, we did the assembly and moving on our own. They arrived on 2 pallets and each chair weighs about 90lbs, which almost all of that being in the base. We got them into our basement media room and plugged each one in. They don't attach to each other, they just sit next to each other. Initially I was concerned they might start to drift apart, it's only been about a week but they are so heavy and the feet are on carpet, I haven't noticed any motion. All of the assembly and leather quality is really nice. I do find the touch controls to be a bit too sensitive, occasionally I'll brush my arm along the cup holder which will move the seat or turn on the under seat lighting, which is BRIGHT! The lights with the recliner open are so bright they wash out my screen and everyone turns blue. I'm looking into seeing if I can dim them because they are really bright. Everything else is great and we're really happy with them. We've got another motorized recliner couch from a big name manufacturer, but these feel a lot more sturdy than that couch and chair ever did.

TJ at HTMarket was a pleasure to deal with, and answered all my questions thoroughly before purchasing these seats. Shipping was fast and the seats arrive in great condition. Assembly was a breeze and the seats worked perfect. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for high quality seats at a very reasonable price. They are very comfortable and great looking!

Best chair for the money online. Very comfortable and looks/feels fantastic. Looking forward to breaking these in on some binge watching over Labor Day weekend. Also- kudos to the staff and owners of HTMarket. They are VERY quick to respond to a few questions I emailed and got right back to me. The brown leather looks great and my wife was both impressed and very pleased, which is saying something as these went into my man cave and well.... you know.

After much searching, I zeroed in on HT Design's Southamptons. Spent a lot of time researching various options and manufacturers due to the cost of theater seating in general - and concern about not being able to try them out before ordering. Sales staff (TJ in particular) was great - answered a ton of questions with patience and gave solid suggestions. Ordered the chairs with white glove delivery (7 chairs). The delivery was great! Chairs are in two pieces and the base is quite heavy - no way could I get them downstairs alone. The delivery service worked with me on placement (to the inch!) and could not have been nicer. The chairs themeselves are super comfortable (my wife and I always fall asleep). Motor is quiet. Had one small issue on one chair where the holder for accessories stuck and HT quickly sent a replacement (thank you!). Blue lighiting/cup holder is a nice touch (though as others have said, quite bright). All around, I could not be happier with the chairs, the company and the experience. Thank you to HT Design!

I purchased the 4 set curved seating design. The items were packed well and came in undamaged, though one of the chairs initially did not work electrically. We turned it over and found a couple of the plugs were pulled loose (probably during shipment). We plugged those back in and it worked. The chairs are very comfortable, the recline buttons allow you to set it almost to lying down, or anywhere short of that. Find your own comfort position. It was everything I hoped it would be. Very well built.

We love our chairs, they are five times better than I could have imagined, therefore the five stars is not enough. The chairs are so comfortable and beautiful, images on the computer does not give the brown Southampton's justice. Top notch service to say the least, I ordered two standalone chairs on April 11th at about 5pm central time, and they were delivered to me in Las Vegas at about 1pm pacific time on April 20th. I made it perfectly clear to Tom that I wanted two chairs as soon as possible, like next week and his response was yes we have them in stock and they should be there by the end of next week; but I can't promise they will make it to by then. It gave me comfort that I didn't get the old lip service that some other Salesmen like to do to make sales, such as guarantee me they would be here in a week. Thank you so much Tom for your patience with taking both of my calls and answering all of my questions, even though my last call was pretty much at end of business. Your professionalism and knowledge put me at ease due to me ordering seats without having a chance to touch or sit in them. The curbside delivery service was flawless and it was extremely easy for my wife and I to unpack and put the chairs together (we unpacked them in the garage which made it easy to carry the two pieces into the game room separately). Without hesitation I refer HTMarket to my family, friends and everyone reading this review. My wife told me when it's time to replace our leather sectional in our loft, she want Southampton's. I just left a review about the Warwicks. Everything I said in that review also applies to the Southampton seating. Absolutely pleased with the chairs, service, and quick ship(within 10 days)! We did two different styles because of the way our room laid out. We needed to have a bit less space on the back row which is why we went with the Warwicks as they were designed to be a bit more space saving. Thanks to Tom for his direction as he helped us switch from the somerset to the warwick since the Warwick and southampton look was very similar and people wouldnt be thrown when they see two very different looking pieces. The Southampton difference from Warwick is that they are wider and I feel gives a bit more comfortability to the head rest. I always sit in the front row(Southampton) because I prefer the larger seat capacity and head rest. My wife prefers the back row(Warwick). Both outstanding seats and couldnt be happier with the decision and results. The quality is even better then the reviews all point towards. Love our Theater/Sports room but it wouldnt quite be what it is without the HT furniture!

bought 8 chairs - did a back row straight and then the front row curved with a love seat in the middle. the chairs recline back and have the light underneath so you can see where you are going in the dark similar to the outside movie theaters. Comfortable and cozy !

We purchased 6 of these and love them. They are spacious and comfortable and have been a great addition to our home theater. I compared many other styles and brands and have not found a better quality chair anywhere near this price range!

I did quite a lot of research when looking for theater seating, and it came down to these seats. They are now installed and I love them. Watching movies is so nice now. The chairs are high quality too, they look like they will last for a long time. Customer service was excellent but I would say to avoid the road runner shipment option if you live in my area, they are less than perfect but certainly that didn't make the chairs any less spectacular when they finally arrived. If I had to critique anything at all on the chairs it would be that I'd like an option to turn off the blue lights on the controls completely, they actually rarely catch my eye but it would be nice. The only other thing is that I think a tray that went in the cup holder and then could hold a cup and some other items would be far better than the current tray option which makes it hard to have a drink in the cup holder at the same time. Caddy products makes a great option that I saw in my local theater here, I'd love to see something like that available through HT. Overall nothing but awesome, thank you HT for making this movie lovers life so much nicer :) !

Despite waiting more than a month past expected delivery these chairs appear to be excellent. They are comfortable. Leather appears to be quality. Power reclining works well. I would recommend these chairs.

Finding good home theater seating can be a difficult task. Where I live there is limited selection so my wife and I made a trip to Chicago to see and try various home theater seating and HTDesign was very accommodating to our schedule. We decided on the HTDesign Southampton in black and made the purchase. The seats arrived much sooner than we had expected, which was great. The seats are very comfortable and I would highly recommend anyone in the market to take a hard look at the HTDesign seating. Their designs are very good, customer service is excellent, and my experience has been very positive.

I received the seats about 2 weeks after I ordered them. I got the white glove service since they has to be brought upstairs and each seat weight about 120 lbs. The guys were great and they cleaned up all of the plastic and cardboard. The seats look great and each has a tray. They are plush, so it is easy to fall asleep in them. I selected the curved configuration, so it really looks great. The seats are individual and not bolted together as a unit, and there is no problem with them moving. For the price, I don't think I could have made a better decision.

The carrier delivered the boxes in good condition and it was easy to set up. I ordered a row of 3 black South Hampton seats. Absolutely beautiful, when people come over they ask if I won the lottery or something. I love them so much I just ordered three more to make a stadium style seating theater room.

I received these chairs (4 seat sofa w/center loveseat) a few days ago and love them! I rated them with 4 stars and not 5 because I simply haven't had a chance to use them much yet. From my initial impression they are better than expected, and are very sturdy and well-built. I can only assume they will wear well over the years.

I looked at lots and lots of different options for leather seating and am so glad I chose the Southhampton. I purchased about a year ago and absolutely love them. They are well made and sturdy while remaining very comfy. Would highly recommend.

I did a lot of research trying to find some home theater seating. Somehow found these and this site on a forum and man am I glad I did. My family and friends all love these seats and they are the perfect all around theater seat I was looking for. I purchased two of these for a smaller game/show room and love them so much I will be buying EIGHT more for a theater room we will be putting together in the next year! I did have a missing cup holder insert, but was sent a replacement out no questions asked. The Customer service I received throughout my entire shopping experience has also been top notch, which was huge considering I was buying these sight-unseen.

I bought two of these seats and they are really nice and quiet to operate.They are very well made and are comfortable to sit in.I like the fact that you have the option of turning the LED lights on or off.

got this chair along with a Pembroke so my review may be a little bias towards it; this chair is comfortable and the leather is really soft. its a little lighter than the Pembroke that i got but that may be due to the lack of a headrest motor and one of the arms(im sure then the arm-less one arrives that will be even lighter). Again my only gripe is the super bright led light when reclined and(as i forgot to mention in my Pembroke review) the cup holder does not fit the novelty cups that you get the cinema, even with the insert removed

I have had my Southampton chairs for just 2 weeks so far. They arrived in the time frame quoted. I opted for the curb side delivery. The boxes were easy to handle by 2 people. Each box was in the 110-120lb range. The chairs were received undamaged and worked perfectly. The cushions are a little on the firm side but still very comfortable. I am very happy with my purchase of these chairs and in my dealings with HT design. I highly recommend these chairs and this company.

The chairs are absolutely fantastic. They exceeded my expectations, which were high to begin with. The price can't be beat. Two of my chairs were lost by the freight carrier, however Thomas and TJ were great and got the replacements shipped out to me in time for a Christmas surprise for the family. Thomas even replied to one of my questions on a Sunday night! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend HT Market to a friend or purchase from them again.

I ordered three Southampton chairs without a "test sit"; I was a little worried about doing this, but HT Design staff seemed very confident that the Southampton was the best chair to accommodate myself (6') and my wife (5'2"). This definitely turned out to be the case as we are both very comfortable. The chairs were in great shape when delivered and the home theater has that really high quality leather smell now. The seats did squeak at first, but a $2 travel size bottle of Johnson's baby powder from Walgreen's cured that.

I have been burned multiple times ordering items online. What a wonderful surprise to set up our new grouping and find it to be far better than described! It's very comfortable and solid as a rock. Just wish I had a bigger house (not really) so I could order additional pieces! Well worth the price!

I have been looking online for 6 months, reading in the forums and visiting local stores to make sure I was making the BEST choice for the money. I am admittedly picky and I have a condition that makes my skin and muscles hyper sensitive so I needed something that would contour to my 6'2" 225# frame. I was very concerned about the size also as I wanted full height head and full length leg support. I got BOTH with the Southampton. Now this chair looks a lot like many others (for good reason - a tried and true design) and I was able to sit in an Octane 700XL- locally which I felt was ok quality but nothing special. It was good but not great. I felt like the value was not there. The Southampton, while looking similar, is a better chair in every way, including leather, padding, frame, motion and looks more high end. I tried many other brands at the local stores but none of them were anything special and I feel the Southampton is overall better quality than much more expensive chairs. Don't worry about buying sight-unseen, these are top notch chairs. Bought two rows of 6 and LOVE THEM! Talked to a number of REPS, a number of times and the owner Al himself. Everyone helpful and no pressure. Got them in about 5 days. Just MAKE SURE they have your correct phone number for the shipper!

For my basement remodel I purchased 3 curved seats for the front row and a couch configuration that sits on an elevated platform for the back row. Once I had everything setup I realized that I had room to turn the front middle seat into a love seat -- which is what we wanted all along. So I ordered the extra seat. Having never sat in the furniture I was a bit concerned about spending this kind of money, however after decent reviews on AV forums I decided to take the plunge. I am so happy that I did. Every seat is high quality, and comfortable with just the right amount of support.

We purchased these as a loveseat for replacement in our Fifth Wheel RV. The RV is locat ined in a campground several hours away. Therefore, I cannot at this time do a complete review. I will submit another review after I use it in the RV. however, I can say that they arrived very promply, far quicker than I expected. We took them out of the boxes and set them up in our house. They seem very comfortable for the little time we sat in them. I would definitely buy from HT Market again.

I bought 2 rows of 3 black Southhamptons. While browsing AVS forum I found a thread about the chairs from HT Market and after reading through the thread I saw that everyone was happy with their chairs as well as the customer service responsiveness (actual posts from them within the thread). After doing other online research and visiting some local home theater chair stores I kept coming back to HT Market based on the perceived good quality at a "less then retail" price. I am very happy I made the decision to purchase these chairs from HT Market. The white glove delivery and setup worked great and the seats themselves are comfortable and look great in my new home theater.

Purchased these seats on 6/15 and received them on 7/1. Can't ask for any better service. Their people are friendly and very helpful. These are the HT design seats which are their own brand. Extremely nice and very comfortable seats. Everything worked (lights and motors) as advertised and experienced no problems going together.and they appear to be very well built. I would highly recommend these seats and this company.

Fast delivery great service good quality for the price.

I took delivery of 8 Southampton chairs last week, after having a Somerset chair for the last few months. I loved the Somerset, except for the fact that it felt a little bit too firm and the headrest protruded into the top of my shoulder blades. The Southampton solves both of those problems, just the perfect balance of soft/firm and the headrest is much more low-profile so that there's no issue with it hitting my shoulders/back the way it should. Alan describes this chair as his everyman/everywoman chair and now I can see why! It's solidly built, the leather is nice, power recline is excellent, pivoting tray tables are pretty sweet, you've got USB chargers in the armrests, and the in arm storage is abundant. I can even store my full size HTPC keyboard upright in the arm with a couple inches to spare! We havve had a bunch of our friends over to watch movies, all with different size and shape bodies and everyone has loved the seats. With the Somerset all of our shorter friends though it was great, but the taller ones didn't like it because of the headrest. With the Southampton, everyone is happy! I had the opportunity to visit the HT Design showroom in Chicago with my wife, and we definitely felt that the Southamptons were the most comfortable chairs out of all the HT Design chairs. The Paget and Easthampton were close in comfort, the Hamiltons would probably be my choice after that, followed by the Devonshire and Somerset. Each of the chairs would definitely cater to a specific body size/type/individual preference, but I do feel like the Southamptons are your best bet for comfort and features if you can go try out all the chairs yourself!

I considered numerous other options on the Internet as well as local to Portland Oregon. I found these Southampton seats to be the best value for the price. I had a few issues with a table having a too long of a peg, and another table that had a manufactures defect, however Karen H. at HT Design was very helpful on the phone, quick with a follow-up email and I expect them to quickly take care of my problem. They were fast to ship to Portland Oregon and easy to setup. We just watched the latest StarWars movie and everyone loved the seats! I'm planning to add a second row of the same Southampton seats to my theater.

I came across HTmarket.com and after several emails with the staff I found exactly what I was looking for. I was a little skeptical about making the purchase online, (like many others). My skepticism was unfounded. Alan steered me to the Southampton line in top grain black leather. I placed the order for 4 power reclining chairs in a curved loveseat configuration and it arrived quickly, 1 week from the purchase date. Set up was very easy. GREAT product!!! We, like everyone else looking to spend nearly $10k on furniture, did a ton of research. We live near one of the largest furniture stores in the country and still decided to go with these seats. We have two rows setup with single seats at the end and a love seat in the middle. This allows cuddle time in the middle or we can put the removable divider in to keep the boys separated. We have had these seats just over a year and I'm finally getting around to reviewing them now that we have some real time in them. We have had a few small issues with LED lights but HTMarket has been great to work with on getting these resolved. The LEDs aren't the main reason we bought them anyway. The leather is great quality, I'm not a leather guy but the wife demanded so... at the end of the day I do like them. Or dog has even sat on these without a blanket underneath and I see no signs of scratches (I usually demand a blanket under the hound). Having powered seats is great for finding that perfect recline which you cannot do with manual recliners. If you are thinking about these seats stop thinking and buy them.

After a lot of research and being so close to purchasing another more expensive theater group I saw in a local store, I am so blessed to have come around HT Market web site. I viewed the very helpful videos several times and I called customer service several times with questions to ensure that my selection of the Southampton Seating would be comfortable for my 6'4", 300 pound husband. I was very anxious to make such a large purchased on line, but the description was exactly what we wanted, so we decided to take a chance and it was the best decision for us. We ordered a three piece and a love seat and we, so very pleased. Before the chairs arrived, we were alerted me that there was a problem with one of the chairs. They gave me several options to remedy the issue and they delivered a replacement chair within a week. I am absolutely thrilled with the customer service and the seating. As others have stated, the blue under lights are bright, but I love this feature. I also love the trays, the cup lights the usb port and the chair quality. As of today, I wold not hesitate to place a second order, but I don't have room for more seating.The reaction that I have received from guests is priceless. I highly recommend HT Market to anyone who is considering a purchase.

I would recommend taking them out of the box and carrying the bases and backs separately, as this saves weight and size. Setup was a breeze! We were able to unpack all 8 chairs, carry them up the theater, and get them all assembled and setup in one evening. Then we got to test them. Upon arrival, one of the LED light strips didn't work and one of the cupholders didn't work. Thomas quickly sent out replacement parts and instructions on the website walked me through how to replace the components. Everything works perfectly now and they are very nice quality, comfortable seats. I have had many people over to watch movies and sporting events and everyone is impressed by the comfort and quality. I also wanted to comment on the durability. I have three children age 5 and under and while they are well behaved and not allowed into the theater without me or my wife, they still like to play with the buttons and get a little excited sometimes. Therefore, they have already put the seats through their paces (so to speak) and they look and function just like they did the day we got them. I have been researching for "comfortable" home theater furniture for the last six months. I have visited many furniture stores; Costco; Sams Club, etc.. You will not find a more comfortable chair for the price than these. The leather is firm and the chairs are wonderful. The motors are silent and very responsive. These are more than just home theater seats, they are awesome powered recliners. You cannot match the value and the quality of these chairs anywhere. Plus, Alan is a man of integrity and will not give anyone bad advice. Tom is also excellent to work with. He follows up quickly to answer all questions. You will not find a better bunch of folks to do business with. Great products! Great Service! Forget Art Van. Forget Costco. This is place to spend your money at.
